Business Details
I am a seasoned team leader with deep expertise in banking operations, ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) and Sustainability. My leadership is also grounded in transformational practices, project management, change management, stakeholder engagement and innovative problem-solving using design thinking and systems thinking approaches.
My passion in sustainability coupled with a background in Master’s in ESG earned me the role of a Sustainability Champion where I drive the short-term and long-term Sustainability goals of my organization. Besides the GreenMentorship program, I am also involved in global initiatives as a fellow in the Africa SDGs Mentorship Program-AIIDEV & UNFCCC Youth4Capacity-UNDP Youth4Climate Catalyst Program
The problem I am looking to address is Waste Management within the affected houses which leads to pluvial flooding during the rainy season due to clogged drainage systems. The project matters because the road is impassable during the rainy season, houses are inaccessible at the same time could be a breeding area for water- borne diseases. I hope to create awareness on better waste management program with the 8 houses to avoid heaping of waste in the general assigned bins which in turn overflows and eventually spills over this directly affects the houses especially during rainy seasons since the litter causes blockage in the drainage system ultimately causing pluvial flooding and impassable roads.

The mentorship program has been an eye- opening and very thought- provoking experience. The course work made me to look at the Sustainability from a different lens since it covered a wide scope of topics that I will like to explore more in line with my career path. The mind-boggling mentorship sessions we had with our Mentor, Oscar also made the learning milestone worthwhile and with his guidance , I hope to scale my Bin-It, Win -It Capstone project to the wider community.
