The Green Mentorship Program is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between mentors and mentees to create impactful learning experiences. Our application process is designed to ensure that both mentors and mentees are paired based on shared goals, expertise, and interests, creating a foundation for successful and rewarding mentorship relationships. Below, you'll find a step-by-step guide to how prospective mentors and mentees can apply, complete their profiles, and undergo the matching process to begin their journey toward becoming sustainability leaders.

To join, here are key steps to be mindful of:

Creating an Account on the Green Mentorship Website.

Prospective mentors and mentees begin by creating an account on the Green Mentorship website. This step involves filling in basic details, such as name, contact information, and a brief overview of professional background or interests. This account will serve as the platform for all program-related activities, including course enrollment, mentor-mentee interactions, and project management. Create an account here.

Completing the Mentor or Mentee Profile.

After creating an account, both mentors and mentees are required to complete their individual profiles. For mentees, this includes providing more detailed information about their sustainability interests, career goals, and any specific areas of expertise they wish to develop during the program. Mentors are asked to outline their experience in sustainability leadership, the areas they specialize in, and the kind of guidance they are able to offer. This profile will help us understand each participant’s goals and aspirations, ensuring the best possible match for a meaningful mentorship experience.

Mentees Complete an Initial Skills Assessment.

To better understand the current knowledge and skills of mentees, an initial skills assessment is required. This assessment helps both mentors and mentees identify strengths, areas for growth, and learning preferences. It also serves to personalize the learning journey, enabling us to recommend the most relevant courses and resources. Mentors may also undergo a brief assessment to gauge their mentoring style and expertise, ensuring they are well-equipped to guide their mentees.

Undergoing the Mentor Matching Process.

Once profiles and skills assessments are completed, mentees undergo the mentor matching process. This involves pairing mentees with mentors who best align with their goals, interests, and areas of growth. The matching process is designed to ensure that each mentor-mentee relationship is productive, supportive, and tailored to the unique needs of the mentee. The matching is carefully done based on factors such as sustainability focus, professional experience, and personal mentoring style to maximize the success of the mentorship.
